In London I trained at WPF Counselling and Therapy. WPF is recognised as one of the leading training organisations in the UK with a reputation for both clinical and academic excellence.
I am also a full member of the WPF’s graduate organisation, the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC). This foundation has the highest code of ethics, and a complaints procedure that ensures proper standards of care, confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
In addition, I am accredited with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and am a professional member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). These organisations are the two largest professional bodies for counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK, and are known for appropriately trained and qualified members. Their role is to promote, maintain and uphold the highest standards in psychotherapy throughout the UK, and they regard public accountability of paramount importance.
Being a member of these professional bodies ensures that I practice to a high standard and continue to observe both ethical issues and confidentiality boundaries as well as make a commitment to my own continuing professional development.
